After studying the disassembled guitar I was no longer of the opinion that Acraglas would make a good fix. Instead I used biscuits. However, I did use Acraglas to epoxy the top together. I also used it to fill some voids at the ends of the biscuit joints. Like a dentist filling a tooth I used a burr to make little pockets to lock in the Acraglas filler.

I ran the biscuits down the length of the crack. I also managed to use them to make two spline joints right across the crack on each end. On the changer side, where the wood is very narrow, the spline even goes through the holes thereby reinforcing them.

Knocking on this repaired top sounds just like a solid piece of wood.

I've never taken one of these guitar apart before. Needless to say it was educational.
