It will depend on how it's setup. There is no "one setup" for pedal steel guitars. e.g. the floor pedals could be setup in the "Emmons" setup or the "Day" setup. In the Emmons setup the first pedal (furtherest left) also refered to as the "A" pedal raises the 5th and 10th string a full tone from B to C# and the middle pedal, refered to as the "B" pedal raises the 3rd and 6th string 1/2 tone from G# to A. The third pedal "C" Pedal raises the 4th string from E to F# and also the 5th string from B to C#. The Day setup reverses the A and C pedals and thus from left to right is CBA.

One Knee levers lowers the 4th and 8th E strings from E to Eb. The Sho-Bud method was to have this on the Right Knee moving Left. In the Emmons setup many have this change on the Left Knee moving Right.

The person who you bought it from should be able to tell you how it is setup.

If the person you bought it from cannot tell you, move each pedal and knee lever and see which changer fingers move and post here and maybe we can figure it out.

Here is the tuning setup for a GFI, which is a common setup http://www.gfimusicalproducts.com/Tables/Copedant%20Tables.htm
