Yes they came with 1501-4's in them -- I have 2 of the same and they have been brilliant cabs -- 20 years of road work for me too :D -- even better with Neo magnets !

Bunch of Questions on Power Rating Meanings !

Post by Zeke Cory »

I am very Interested in these cabinets and have a few technical question. First off, the little screen in the center of the magnet on the rear of these speakers are much larger than those in my Vegas amps, which both have 1501-4's in them. These do not appear to be the same speakers. My older 1501-4 'BW's in my Vegas amps say something like 210 watts into 4 ohms. I have also read the newer BW's have upgraded to something like 300 watts. Did I misunderstand the meaning of these differences or is that correct. May I assume the power in these BW cabinets Desmond has will be the older type at 210 or are they the bit newer ones. Which number do I buy the power amp for? - Power Handling, Continuous Power, Power Consumption, Peak Power, RMS ???? Wish I understood electronics a bit better. Just wanna make sure I get the correct power amp. With a regular amp setup, I never needed to consider all this, but now going to a rack setup I guess we have to. Thanks again for all your advice. Best Regards. Zeke

Hi Zeke here is a picture of my 2 cabinets before I put the Neo magnets in ... you can see the small screen in the middle of the speaker magnets is the same (even though it is partially obscured)
