what would be the best spacing between strings for an ten string non pedal what would be the best scale length for an ten string thanks

Do you plan on playing any slants / split slants?

I prefer 3/8" spacing on all my non-pedal steel guitars. And slants work fine on 23" scale for me.

I used a George L 12 string Pickup to cover all 10 strings with 3/8" spacing, although the 10 string PU would have probably worked fine.
