I would like a photo of a finger pick that is worth 20 bucks ! $40. a pair.
Just want to see if I'm that dumb or you guys ! lol

I have some of these listed on the Forum and I agree that no finger pick is really worth that much. I actually lowered my price to $25.00 per set. I have researched this and the old ones bring a big price on ebay. I saw a set on there last week and the price was up to $50.00 per set and the bidding was still going. The reason for this is the older National picks have not been made in years and the new ones don't have the same feel. They have become scarce and hard to find is why they are bringing that kind of price. It's kind of like pricing a push-pull Emmons. I've seen many sell for $3000.00 to $5000.00 and I remember when you could buy a new D10 in 1966 for $995.00 as I still have an old brochure with prices in it. Again, I agree that no pick is really worth that but it is supply and demand, so to speak.

| All the picks I have and use, I bought in 1951. i find that they are easier to shape than any other, I have tried.I absolutely can not use Dunlops in any way. i don't know about$20 ,cause I am not selling them yet. I believe they were .25 in 1951 . Mine are like the 10th picture on the previous post. Ray |

Herby, Your ad inspired my thread. I knew you wouldn't put up a photo but hoped someone would.
I have been using National picks for 30 years. I have a half bag of the patten type with a number on them. Have no idea how old they are but I gave like .35 each when I bought them. I would figure that $1.50 each would be a big price now. LOL
Oh well, You never know what you might have laying around.

Don't sell them yet, you've got plenty of time to use them still! Besides, if the unexpected happens, you can will them along with your Honus Wagner baseball cards and Faberge Egg collection.
