George is still thriving and performs regularly; we visited with him in Bonita Springs about a year ago where he gave a concert.
I'm sure he makes his regular Opry appearances, too.
By the way, I started a thread on this clip last week; we discussed it at some length.

George Hamilton IV did a show up here - I believe it was Sept or Oct last year. He was at the Commercial Tavern in Maryhill (home of Western Swing Authority)
Paul Weber, singer and owner of the Commercial, told me that George drove up from Nashville on his own. So I believe George is doing quite well
