It is easy to play the steel guitar. Playing so that the audience finds it pleasing is the difficult act.

I saw a show back in the late 80's where he sat down behind Cowboy Eddie Longs steel. He played one little passage and then moved on to the fiddle. _________________ Excel S-10,2 Williams 700 Universals,Jackson Blackjack Custom,, Goodrich LDR2 & Hilton Vol pedals,Monster 3500pro power conditioner, Morgan SW100 amp & Cab |

The passage Hank played on steel was a few parts of "Steel Guitar Rag-it was during "Born To Boogie. He started out on drums, then he played steel, then he played bass guitar, then harmonica. Cowboy Eddie Long played a Sierra steel back then.

Hank doesn`t play steel in his shows now. Mike Daly is his steel player, but Hank plays guitar, fiddle, and piano at his shows now. |
