It is easy to play the steel guitar. Playing so that the audience finds it pleasing is the difficult act.

I saw a show back in the late 80's where he sat down behind Cowboy Eddie Longs steel. He played one little passage and then moved on to the fiddle.

The passage Hank played on steel was a few parts of "Steel Guitar Rag-it was during "Born To Boogie. He started out on drums, then he played steel, then he played bass guitar, then harmonica. Cowboy Eddie Long played a Sierra steel back then.

Hank doesn`t play steel in his shows now. Mike Daly is his steel player, but Hank plays guitar, fiddle, and piano at his shows now.
