The ultimate tone

We have often discussed what our favorite tone is.
The Steel is this song is mine. I found this Casette at a truck stop in Wyoming several years ago. Its called Big City. I have never heard this song on any of Merls Records except this one. The regular Big City CD dosen't have this song on it(I don't think)I could be wrong..Info please. I take it that this is Norm Hamlet on this song. At any rate the tone is to die for. Take a listen....

Wow. That was great. I'm only familiar with the version from Merl's 1965 album "Strangers". That one has a way different feel (and no steel guitar). Loving this version... thanks for posting it!

Hi Bill. Who did the steel on 'slide off of youre satin sheets' on youre soundcloud website. What a great job man. Doug Jernigan also does a great job on this insturnmental.
