Several months ago on of my customer, after the European steel guitar festival in Chanos - france, fell in love with a particular model of the steel guitar from Rickenbacker, the CW 8. He asked me to make an instrument very similar, with some personal characteristic, and my signature.

The hard work has been researching and planning the guitar. Here inn Italy it is rare to find these guitars and buy a copy it would be improper for me.

I designed this guitar made entirely of Slovenian flamed maple, with a large resonance chamber inside, scale lenght of 22.5 "single coil pickup (true tone- Wallace), Kluson machine head and aluminum tuners support, bridgplate, and control plate handmade by me.

I'd like to thank Jason Lollar for the wiring schematics.

I made the flanges on the lathe,
while the aluminum legs are bought from my client at the WBS in Europe.

I'd like to share with you some pictures... :D

This is a very interesting instrument. Does having a large resonance chamber mean that it can be played acoustically?

The only thing it's lacking is the Jerry Byrd tag and the upholstery.
