Tom Bradshaw sells the clamps that hold the reso pedal onto a leg. If your monitor is heavy, you might need something from Dale. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Dale Hansen makes Bess Dang Gizmos (which might be Bessdang), a whole line of stuff that attaches to steels.
He has an impressive array of standard stuff, and will happily do custom whatnots.
He has a Facebook presence and is easy to find on a forum search. I'm sorry I'm not offering more now, but it's a huge pain on a phone-sized mobile. If you haven't found enough by mid-evening your time, I might be able to get more after I get home. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

John,
I've had good luck using a tripod type mic stand. The tripod design allows you to position it close to the right or lift front corner of your steel. In the past I've used them for Mics and Monitors. I like the fact that they fold for packing. I've steered away from steel leg attached mics or monitors. I've found that it was hard to isolate the steels mechanical noise from a leg attached microphone and suspect, that an attached monitor could mechanically influence the strings vibrations in a negative way. I'm sure it is being done by some players, I do not think it is being done in the studios, or at least, not to my knowledge. Good luck on finding something that will fit your needs.
Your friend... |

I use a tripod mic stand to mount my iPad on. As Dick says, it's easy to position where you need it. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) .
