We have been asked (Sun Country Jamboree Productions) to produce a live show each Sat. nite from May 21st thru Sept. 2005, at the Spirit Of The Suwanee Music Park, where we currently perform each 2nd Sat. We plan to have a "name" act once per month. May 21st. will feature JOHN CONLEY" and The Rose Colored Glasses, from Nashville, Tn. On other nite's we will feature regional bands as well, as our own "Jamboree Band with special guests. We will be enjoying the talents of Mike Hammontree as a "regular" part of The Jamboree Band, beginning in April. If you have'nt heard Mike, you are in for a treat. If you live in the area or just passing through, come visit us and help us support "traditional" country and gospel music. Thanks for listening!! Lonnie Portwood

Hi Ernie, We are expecting one guest, John Roberts, from Jax., and we ( the band) are working on some new material, not new country, mind you, but new ( old) country. I hope you will approve!! We know how "persnickerty" you are about country music. The Hammontrees will be with us in April at the country club. I'll give directions soon! Thanks Lonnie

Lonnie forgot to tell you about another guest for the May 12th show. His name Is Wesley Crider. If you stopped by the Wallace Guitar Display at Chatt last year Wesley was the young many playing in there all day Saturday. Wesley is From Ringold Ga. He won first place at the kentucky Guitar competition in 2004 and won second place in the Georgia State competition as well. In my humble opinion Wesley Crider is in the top 3% of all Thumb and fingerstyle players and probably in the top 10% of open class players. If you like great guitar playing you sure don't want to miss Wesley. He will also be at Chatt again this year so come by and meet Him and hear him play
Thanks

Glen Robert got to our house at 3:00 this morning for a week, it took him 1:30 minutes on I 75 to go 20 miles, road under construction and only one lane, he was beat when he arrived.
I'll see if he is coming. What a great picker he is. He will take out his guitar at 1 or 2 o:clock and play here till 4:00.

The Sun Country Jamboree will be at the Southern Oaks Country Club, in the heart of Lake City, Fl. just 25 miles from Live Oak and The Spirit of the Suwanee Music Park, where we normally have our show. Guests include The Hammontrees, and I would'nt be surprised if a certain "thumb picker" who is in Florida this week happened to show up! See our website @ www.suncountryjamboree.com for more info. and links. Thanks, Lonnie
