It's a tie between Lloyd Green's Farewell Party and Jay Dee Maness' Misty. That does it for me anyway.

Three nominations from my perspective:

John Hughey: Lost in the Feeling
" " Look at Us
" " Sweet Memories

Is "Rainbows All Over Your Blues" country enough? Buddy Emmons playing a sweet, swinging tune by John Sebastian, that's the one that does it for me....

Ha, you should have fun with this one. "WTS", Buddy, "Whiskey River", Weldon, "Just Destroyed the World", Twitty/Hughey, "Ain't No Chains", Bush/Overbey, "Oh Lonesome Me", N Sinatra/Buddy, "I'll Come Runnin'", Weldon, "Waltz Across You Know What", Tubb/Charleton,"Home in In San Antone", Bush/Buddy and Curly. Narrowing it down any further would be an exercise in futility; nothing new for me.

Farewell Party...

For me it was the interaction between the fiddles and Jimmy Day on Ray Price's 24th Hour. Impossible to name the best, whatever that is.

I always liked Buddy's solo on the Judy Collins version of "Someday Soon".

"Look At Us" which John Hughey played on. Another Hughey solo is "Lost In The Feeling". More upbeat song would be Weldon Myrick on the Johnny Bush version of "Whiskey River". You talk about hot licks that solo has them.

Hard to pick just one but John Hughey's "Look At Us" comes to mind.

Laney Hicks song "A love like this" by Buddy Emmons. I played it for our wedding.
