For Sale: Boss RV-2 w/ WalWart-SOLD !! SOLD !!

Post by Al Vesel »

For Sale: Boss RV-2 with the Wal Wart (power supply)

The RV-2 is basically the same as the RV-3
except the RV-2 does not have a battery
compartment and requires a Walwart or
adaptor to operate, which I have included.
Is in real good shape both mechanically &
cosmetically for its' age.
With this pedal you get both reverb &
digital delay.

NOTE: YOU CAN USE THE WAL-WART WITH ANY OF YOUR BOSS
PEDALS. IT WILL WORK WITH ANY OF THEM. SAME
SPECS AS THE PSA-120 THAT BOSS SELLS FOR
$25.00 W/FREIGHT. THIS IS A "DANELECTRO", SO
YOU CAN USE IT WITH ANY OF THEIR PEDALS ALSO.

Price: $100.00 includes the Walwart
Add $6.50 for shipping

Al,
It's hard for me to believe that Boss wouldn't have provision for a battery in that pedal. There is a little knob on the end of the pedal. If you unscrew that knob doesn't the paddle lift up to give access to a battery compartment?

Boss RV-2 power supply is only the power adaptor

Post by Al Vesel »

Erv,

How is it going? Staying warm? I'll have to come visit you again and see all that wonderful gear you have?

Anyway about the Boss pedal, I realize about the screw and the battery compartment. I have had many Boss pedals. When I received this pedal there is an area for a battery compartment, but there are no wires for a 9V battery, and there never were.

I Google searched and found out that the early Japan models didn't have a battery option, only the power adaptor could be used.

Here is a webpage from Youtube that explains that. Also below that is the webpage for the BOSS manuals. Just click on it and scroll down to the Boss RV-2 manual and click on it. In the manual it explains that the power supply is the adapter and it doesn't talk about a 9V battery being used at all. I've gone thru this before Erv and what I said in the add is true, NO 9V battery for the RV-2. Just read the blogs on the Youtube page and you'll see what I'm talking about and you'll see that I am correct. There is also a webpage link below from Ebay with one for sale stating the same, that the power supply is the AC adaptor.

TXS Erv,

Al

Al,
From what I gather you are correct!
I guess this is the 1st stomp box Boss made and they didn't include the battery option.
From what I read, this is really the prefered reverb/delay unit from Boss.
If I didn't already have so many reverb/delay units, I would be more than interested.
Take care,
Erv
