Steel needed for New Country Band in Southern NH

Post by Dan Beller-McKenna »

Hi all,

The Band Fried Cactus ( http://www.friedcactus.net/ )out of southern New Hampshire is looking for a steel player. They are a tight, up and coming new country band, solid six pieces (inc. the steel) fronted by a an excellent female vocalist. As I posted in the Gone Home section last week, their steel player, Bobby Simpson succumbed to cancer recently. I have been filling in but will need to rotate off when my own band gets rolling again in the spring. They rehearse about once a week and are picking up some very good gigs in southern NH / northern Mass.

Here is a partial song list:

Here for the Party
Work Hard Play Harder
2 More Bottles of Wine
Turn on the Radio
Boot Scootin Boogie
455 Rocket
When my roots are showing
Run to you
Every little thing
All Jacked Up
Swinging
Pour Me
That’s how country boys roll
Gun Powder and lead
Settlin
When I think about cheating
Fast as you
Before he cheats
Baggage Claim
Sweet Child O mine
Neon Moon
I Fell In Love
Walkin After Midnight
Who says you can't go home
Don’t even know your Last name
Should've said no
Stay
HeartBreaker

I have worked out most of the signature licks and would be happy to get together with a the new steel player to pass that info along. If interested, please contact Robert Seavey: robertcharlespianoman@gmail.com.
