I had the opportunity to see this stage show in Paducah last night at the new Four Rivers Performing Arts Center..It is really a great show...Jason Petty fronts the show, and narrates and sings you through two hours of Hank Seniors' songs and history. They use four musicians, besides Jason's rhythm guitar..Fiddle, up-right bass, guitar, and a stand up Fender steel, superbly played by our good friend Russ Wever...,ala' Don Helms...
The show covers in thumbnail sketch, Hank's life, music, and story, and influences on country music...and on other artists.
It's a great show, and the music is laid back and mimics the Drifting Cowboys band.
Russ played with such great tone and execution, makes one want to go buy one and get rid of the pedals and all that weight...
They are playing at thr Opry House in Newberry ,South Carolina, tomorrow night Sunday 27th of February..if you are close, it is well worth your time and money to go see them...

Hey Rob,
That sounds like a great show, I'll try to make it up there. In Newberry though, they call it the opera house. The first time I worked there I told them that after spending 6 million restoring the place, they should at least learn how to spell Opry. Great place, great acoustics.

Thanks a lot for coming out, and for the kind 'review' - nice to visit with you and Dan (Dowd). I'll have to stop by Dans sometime and check out his new steel-building machinery.
This is the same show we had in Branson last year, it's a lot of fun to play.
Rick Aiello greatly helped the Fender by re-charging the pu magnets last fall.

I've played that venue several times before - it is a gorgeous facility, even though they cain't quite spell 'Opry'! 
We have two show there Sunday @ 3 & 8 - if ya think ya'd like to come over, ring my cell (816 589 9096) and I'll get some 'comps' happenin' for ya.

| Hey Russ when do you sleep. The show as Rob stated was great, as was the sound you tweaked out of that old Fender Double Neck. Any folks out there get the chance to see the show wont be disappointed. I alos found out some things about Hank I never heard. Thanks Russ for the time we had together and stop by anytime. |

Sounds like a great show for you and the audiences that are fortunate to have you come to their area. So when are you going to bring this entourage to the Atlanta area? When and where, please.

I'd love to come to Atlanta and roust you and Donna out of the house  , as well as Bill and Linda, Wimpy and Carl. This production goes back out touring in September (after ISGC!) and I hope Atlanta is on the itinerary.

Just wanted to thank you on the forum for your hospitality last night. That was really a fun show and Jason is a fine entertainer. The band sounded great too.
If you see this show in your area, don't miss it.
