Wow! When Roger called and said he had a pass waiting for me at (I thought!) a whorehouse, I was real excited. But an even better treat was to hear Roger and a top notch band and cast perform the Broadway musical hit "the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" Man what a show! Rogers' tone and execution was exceptional, and it was by far one of the best evenings of musical entertainment I've ever had. Perfect balance by sound crew and a Super cast. Roger is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and has become a good friend in last cpl years. The show will be in LeNoir N.C. Sat eve at the college I believe. Check Ticket agent for exact location and times for tommorows show. Tell Roger Hi when you get there, Skip
Thanks again Roger

Rumor has it that Roger hangs out around the Whorehouse regularly. He usually pleases everyone with his performance too. Way to go Roger, you @#$%^&*().

That's a fun show to do, 63 pages of music.
I did it in 1989.

Thanks for the nice words, Skip - it was good to see you, and I'm very happy you enjoyed the show.

I continue to enjoy playing this show every time I do it - even two straight months od dates hasn't dulled my enthusiasm! The ARE distractions on all sides, as you might imagine, but I do my best to maintain decent intonation....

Here are the final dates:
2/28 - Avon Park, FL
3/1 - Punta Gorda, FL (please see my other thread)
3/2 - St Petersburg, FL
3/3 - Panama City, FL
3/5 - Athens, GA
3/6 - Savannah, GA

Then we fly to Los Angeles to do seven shows at the Kodak Theatre (where the Oscars are tonight) between 3/9 and 3/13.

Then I can get back out on the golf course in Naples......

I still hope to see some of you on one or other of these dates - there's a lot of steel in the book (63 pages, as Vernon says!), and we have a very steel-friendly sound-man in the excellent Allen Saunders.

Best,

Roger R.
