Thanks, Pat |

Patrick, 20 years ago that area was booming with musicians and steel players passing through and playing at places like The Sands and Boot Hill, etc..... I suppose live music in no more in that area? Hey, it was a rough town but the folks really enjoyed the music. How about the Lead Deadwood area? Good luck on your search, Russ |

Keep your eyes on this venue. In a day or two I will be posting an announcement for a Tri-State Jamboree Jam Session in Casper, Wyoming April 8, 9, 10, 2005. There will be steel players there from Wyoming and Montana for sure and there are usually a good many steel players at the Buffalo Jam every labor day weekend. I live in Casper and Also Russ Howell another steeler lives in Casper, as well as Arlen Reed. |

Thanks Robbie, I'll be waiting for that announcementof the Casper show. As for Boothill, it used to be a great place, but it's not home to steel guitars anymore.

Patrick, I was one of those steelers who worked the Sands Club in January 1979. Russ said it was rough??? Rough was an understatement! Working there was an adventure out of the old west! I'm glad I was there to experience it,,and still live! |
