Hello Sonny,
I am very sorry that I haven't replied before now. Normally, it is recommended that you use "gain type" of effects such as overdrive, distortion, compressors, be placed in line before(pre eq) the input of the amplifier and "passive type" of effects such as digital reverbs, delays, etc., are placed in the "post eq" position.

I'm not Mike Brown, nor do I play one on TV, but I like reverb after the volume pedal. The very last thing before (returning to, if applicable) the amp

Mike, I have been using a H & K Rotosphere in the effects loop. Sounds OK to me.

Is it a "gain-type" processor? Should I move it to after the pedal (Hilton) and before the regular amp input?

Thanks in advance,

Chris
