We have another gathering scheduled for November the 20th at 2:00. The address is 400 Robinson Road, Ponder,Tx.
This time we are having the gathering at the Denton County Cowboy Church in Ponder, Texas. Monty Montgomery will be our host for this gathering. Monty plays steel for the Denton County Cowboy Church. This facility will hold 300 people and has a stage that will hold a full band and about 8 steel guitars. Acoustics will be much better than what we had in Gainesville.
Bring your guitar and anything that you want to sell.
We are hoping that enough musicians show up to put together a full band to play with. Tell everyone you know.
Hope to see you there.

I will be there. This is a nice facility and easy to find. I look forward to jamming and hopefully meeting some more steel players. The host, Monty Montgomery, is a super guy to be around. The church has a pretty good band to play music with as well.

Paul, I believe we are going to have enough musicians to have a full band. It will be nice having good acoustics and a stage. Larry Lange with the Lonestar Troubadors, a Western Swing band, will be there with some of the guys from his band to help us out. I believe some of the musicians from the Cowboy Church will be there also to help out. I am hoping Mickey Adams can make it this time. I also hope David Wright will come back. It is always great to hear him play. For those reading this, if you have never heard or witnessed David Wright play, you need to, You will see why he has won Texas Steel Guitar Player of the Year. Tony Tims has been nice enough to put us on Facebook, to help get the word out. Thanks for your support Paul. You played really well at the last one. I am looking forward to hearing you play with a full band.

Well, of course I'll be there. Sorry I missed the meeting in Gainesville. This one I will make if I have to walk over!! Good PA system and plenty of mics so we should be able to mic each amp for some good sound.
Don't miss this one!!

Glad to see that Mickey will be at this one. Mickey I have heard you play the guitar very well too, so feel free to play some electric guitar if you want. Bring your lesson material or anything that you have to sell.
Gary Thayer and his Carter will be at this one too. I appreciate Gary helping with the expenses at the last gathering.
I would like to see Louie Halford and Jackie Harmon at this one.
Hey Jim Smith, come and show off that awesome Hammond organ sound that you get with your D12 Black Emmons push pull and effects rig.
Don't forget, if you have something to sell, bring it. I will set up a section for trading, selling, borrowing or swapping.

Clinton, you can still go hunting that morning. Deer hunting and a steel guitar get together all in one day. That's what heaven will be like.
I hope you can make it.

Earl, if there is enough interest in these meetings, I would like to do one every month. I think we have a host for the next one after this one at Ponder. One of the players in Arlington has a music school, and he is willing to let us have the next one at his place. He even has a BBQ grill out back, so maybe we can cook out at that one.
I am hoping that players will volunteer to host meetings at their place. If you have a place where we can have a gathering, let me know and I will put it together.
Thanks a lot

Clinton, I have the solution. Mickey Adams is a pilot and maybe he could fly you down for the hunt and they back for the jam. Ah, just kidding. Six days and counting till the second meeting.
