| A steel playing friend loaned me an old Lawrence 705 today. I noticed that it only had two leads coming out of the main wire. White and Black. I thought that dual blade humbuckers had four leads and a ground. Is two leads normal on an older 705? I don't want to mess with the pick up as it is a loaner... Any help from wiring experts would be most welcome. |

| I'm not an expert, but have used many 705's in the past. There were different versions made that include the two wire, center lead and braided ground, and the 4 wire version in which you could wire in a toggle to run one or both blades. Nothing unsual about the one you're inquiring about. |

| About 20,000 ohms. These pickups are as clean as any single coil I have ever used, with a lot more power as you add volume. They have an exceptional high end (treble) hope this helps you |

| I love the clarity of these pickups. Easily as good as single coils. I have always been a single coil guy but this pick up is a keeper. I just paid for it and its staying in my LDG. |
