Just got home from Ruidoso, New Mexico. This is an annual cowboy event. Chuck Wagon cook off, venders galore. There were 4 stages with bands playing from 9am to 10 pm. There were some great steel players there with their bands. Gary Carpenter, Albert Talley, Jr Knight, Bobby Black, Dave Musgrave, Rick Price, Bobby Koeffer, Terry Bethel, David Wright and others that I'm sure I missed. We did 3 shows in the main tent and 2 in the Billy's Sports Bar. It was fun spending time and catching up with the guys. Billy Mata & the Texas tradition were pleased to have Floyd Domino on Piano, John Doyle on Sax & Clarinet and Ron Knuth on 2nd fiddle. It Complimented our band well and it was a pleasure working with such talented musicians. It was also great seeing Forum members like Larry Schupp there and lots of familar Texas faces.
