Some exciting Diatonic tuning sounds...................

For those of you that have expressed interest in the C-Diatonic tuning used by the late JERRY BYRD....
and yet have experienced some difficulties in truly identifying it......
You might want to bend an ear toward You Tube and the
Jerry Byrd Channel hosted by Stein-Fredric over in Norway. He's recently posted Slim Whitmans' popular "Sail Along Silvery Moon".......and sounds from Jerry's C-Diatonic tuning are quite easily identifiable in this recording.http://www.youtube.com/user/jerrybyrdch ... AYk4mCav_w
Because of the nature of this tuning, the identifiable chord that can be heard is quick and not left to sustain for only a single beat. It's a
pretty chord and tends to tweak the 'ears' of any old C6th steel player, as the tunings are inter-related.
Enjoy!
