The JERRY BYRD FAN CLUB, on Ray's CD's page, is featuring an olde tune that I've always enjoyed hearing and enjoy playing it even more.

"Cruisin' Down the River"........ with Band in a Box accompaniment, was played on an olde Rickenbacher 6-string thro' an Epiphone Electar 8"amp with only a slight reverb.

Hope someone out there might enjoy it, even a little
bit would be really nice. THANKS for this consideration.

I enjoyed that a Big bit Ray. A great Singalong tune from the late forties if my memory is right and very suited to the steel guitar.I've downloaded it an will try to play along to it.Keep them coming...........
A question on Jerry Byrd Ray if you don't mind.
Did Jerry ever record Lahaina Luna as I have a quite a large hand written tab sheet done by Jerry for Owana Salaazar the Hawaiian Singer-Slackstring player who actually learnt steel guitar from Jerry and plays very well. She gave copies to all who attended her workshop at our Brisbane Steel guitar festival many years ago when she was a guest there. She never played the tune right thru but what she did play as I recall was a really nice tune.I have tried searching the net for anyone playing it on steel and the only one was Barney Issacs whose version was much slower and whilst pleasant didn't relate to Jerrys tab.
Any light on that? Thanks Barry S
