I still remember the 1st time I heard LT on the radio in Buffalo NY,when he was with the 101 Ranch Boys. (I think it was in the mid 50's). LT played a song When "The Pink Azalea's Are Blooming". That was the most beautiful song and it has stayed in my memory all these years. I hope I can have LT's smile when I turn 80. Best wishes to a great friend, LT and for many more to come.

You were my first steel guitar inspiration, back when you played with the "101 Ranch Boys"
I'll never forget your sound and the quality of your work with them.

I've seen LT perform at the DC area steel shows. He is truly the spark of life. He plays so sweetly and has the stamina of a much younger man. What an inspiration! Happy Birthday and many more.

Hey, L.T. I posted this under the No Peddlers section -- but here 'tiz again.
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">quote:</font><HR><SMALL>A big "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to you, L.T.
It was a real pleasure and honor to meet you and be able to share the stage with you in the Hawaiian Room at the convention this year.
Evelyn said you will be 80 -- but you don't look a day over 79.
All joking aside, though, you can out play me and I'm sure you could outrun me.
I hope to see you again in St. Louis next year.
Your young friend,
