Hello everyone. Local guy is selling one of these. Looks to be in very good condition. Enamel over steel body, volume control only. What should these be selling for? Any other info on this would also be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the links Mike. I'll see what I can find out. I also searched ebay. There is one for sale, but no completed listings so not sure what it will wind up going for. I'll probably have to move quickly on this. I don't think it will last long.

I bought a Rickie Model 59 with one knob a few years ago for 395$. it was at Willies American Guitar in StPaul,Minnesota.
I cannot say if that was a good price or not. I simply wanted to own it. I have no regrets. |

Thanks Randy. This guy is asking $450. I'm on the fence about it.

thanks for the link. My Model 59 is the early year with one knob and a blonde crinkle finish. the pickup remains powerful. I love the horsehoe; the string balance output is very even.
I guess I am a lucky guy. I have a 1940 Epiphone Electrar Zephyr. that pickup was rewound by Lindy Fralin. this lap steel sounds great witha huge sound that I use for blues.
I use the Rickie for country. it is tuned C6. |
