Classic Country Radio

Post by Johnny Jones »

I wanted to let everybody know about a great radio station. It is 106.1 in Cape Girardeau,Mo. They are now on the internet at www.kwkz.com. They play great classic country, and are great supporters of steel guitar. Give them a listen.
[This message was edited by Johnny Jones on 12 December 2004 at 05:23 PM.]

[This message was edited by Johnny Jones on 12 December 2004 at 05:26 PM.]

Hi Johnny. I have been listening for a few weeks now and I heard Susan Anderson Bell sing "Table for Two" . I called the station and got her CD. It has Dickey Overbey playing some of the best steel I have heard in a while. I saw Kenny Foy sat nite at the Lyons club and he told me you guys were on the radio with Susan, who by the way is a DJ on the station. Great stuff.

Sounds great in Colorado. Beats the heck out of our CMA Station of the Year, KYGO and its country rock.

Hi, Allan! Yes, I've been listening too, since I found the link on the Forum some weeks ago. Image It's a REAL country station - something we don't have here in the U.K. Image - nor do we get much REAL country music on any of our stations here Image Image, as I'm sure you'd agree, Allan?

Dan,It was good to see you Friday nite and I will be down to see you maybe this week but I'll give you a call first. Johnny and I had a blast at the radio station. Cousin Carl and Susan are BIG steel fans. Johnny and I are lucky enough to live on the edge of there broadcast area and can get it on our car radios. If you like the station drop them a mail. They support us, let's support them by showing we appreciate 'em There station is the only one like it in our area.
