I haven't been there in 10 or so years and it's still the best steel show in the world!
I was honored to play the main stage on Friday at 11:30 with my buddy Norm Zocher and then the Hawaiian Room at 1 on my lap steel. The people are always so kind and generous with their appreciation of what we do.
I also got to sit in with Jim Cohen's set on Saturday and play 2 tunes on standard guitar...another thrill. And how good is that house band! You couldn't ask for anything more to help you sound good.
All the performers were top notch and it was great to say hello to all the people I haven't seen for so long.
Thanks again to Scotty for putting on such a terrific weekend of music and steel brotherhood.
Maybe next year we can forget about the 105 degree temperature with high humidity outside. That made it tough to do any site seeing.
What a great show!
