Take a look at
http://steelgitarr.forum24.se/steelgita ... t1750.html to see some pics from some steel seminars in Langesund, southernmost Norway, years ago.
Arranger Morgan Johnsen & fmly in one pic, and some other folks there as well. Enjoy!

Darn, I can't get the photos to come in on my old computer and I attended both the Herby Wallace and Jimmie Crawford seminars. Great fun and I learned a lot. Thanks for posting them Anders. I hope to use someone else's" computer and view them at a later date. stevet

Steve - were you in Langeund at those seminars? It was many years ago but I can't remember you (or any other americans than the instructors, for that matter). Do you have any pics from back then on the web so I can see if I can remeber you?
Are you able to surf in here instead?:

Anders, I don't have any photos of the seminars as I was too busy trying to absorb the information. I did record them on cassette and have them in the USA.
A video was made of Herby's concert performance which was available for purchase, and on it, I sang "Six Days on the Road" back by the main guy. Herby also gave us a large booklet of tab both E9 and C6 the pages of which were blue. Unless Herby and Jimmy came more than once to Langesund, I was at these performances, speaking my worst Norwegian.
I remember Jimmy's seminar as well with a ton of tab in a booklet for all of us.
I attended these with a good friend of mine from Naerbo, Kjell Gudmestad. Kjell bought his vintage Emmons at the Sho-Bud shop on Denmark Street in London. He also taught me a lot.
I cherish those memories of friendly Scandinavian pedal steel players.
Thanks for posting those links again for me, Anders, I was able to open the last photo. Will try to open them on my wife's laptop at an internet cafe tomorrow.
Here is a photo of me from four years ago. stevet

I really ought to remeber that, Steve, but it's many years ago and I'm forced to accept that my memory ain't what it (never) have been.
No bell rings in my head, but there were many spontaneous performances at the seminars, so I guess that noone remebers all of them.
I need a refresher exercise and the Langesund seminars should never have ceased - should they? I long back to them, anyway.
Thanks for taking time to reply to this thread!
