This sat nite, featuring ROBERT ANDERSON and MEAGAN TAYLOR, from Knoxville, Tenn. Both are "fingerstyle" pickers extraordinaire", Meagan is Grandniece of Chet Atkins. Also appearing for the second time is J.C.HUNNICUTT, an honest to goodness traditional country singer, reminiscent of the 'FIFTIES". Show Time is 7 PM at the Spirit of The Suwanee Music Park in Live Oak, Fl., just south of the Georgia line! Next month, on Dec. 11th, Special guest LANEY HICKS accompanied by her husband, the great RUSS HICKS, will be headlining our Sun Country Jamboree, along with The HAMMONTREE"S, Jacksonville's own pride and joy. More info later, meanwhile check our website at Suncountryjamboree.com. Ya'll come! Lonnie Portwood |

Hey Lonnie...Russ and I are looking forward to the show, and some warmer temps...that will be our last show before Christmas and I know it'll be a great one to finish up '04 with. See you soon.
Love,

I am sure looking forward to tonight, and being part of a great show. J.C. will be singing "Who'll Turn Out the Lights" and several other country classics.
Harold is planning to sing "Sweet Memories", and Penny and Lonnie have some fine numbers lined up, too, including "I Fall to Pieces".
We will also be doing one of my all-time favorites, "Borrowed Angel", and they are even going to let me sing it.
Anyone in driving distance of Live Oak, FL, come on out to the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park. The show is from 7pm to 10pm.
Laney and Russ, we look forward to seeing you on the big show in December!

We are getting ready to go as I write this, have not missed a one since they did the first one. It is the best musiuc that can be played, not a bad picker in the crowd, or singer for that matteer.

Hey John L....I hope you do sing Borrowed Angel and everything else you can think of to sing; that way you'll stay off the steel and be one less great steeler I have to follow; you know, it's what's up front that counts, at least that's what Laney keeps telling me.
Jennings W....I sure hope to see you and the Big E.C. there...I'll give you a report on my W.Va. thanksgiving. |
