We belong to the R.O.P.E. (Reunion of Professional Entertainers) organization and last night at the annual Golden Awards/Show the Musician Award was presented to a very surprised Ron Elliott. Among the over 500 guests was Mac Wiseman; Jimmy Dickens; Mel Tillis; Kitty Wells; Johnnie Wright; Bobby Wright; Don and Hazel Helms; Russ & Laney Hicks, Charlie McCoy; Stu & Marsha Basore; Ralph Emery; Charlie Louvin, many of whom Ron has worked with over the years. Don Helms, previous winner of this prestigious award presented it to Ron, who is still in a fog (more than usual). Congratulations Ron from your very proud number one fan,
Leslie

Finally! An award show whose winners actually "make sense" to their category!!!
Congratulations, Ron, on an award well earned and deserved. You'd be first on our list for "the nicest guy" and "real friend" honors, too.
We love you and Leslie,
