New Mexico Steel Guitar Jam 2011

Post by Mike Castleberry »

Here are some pics of the jam on August 6th. Patrick Hickey, Johnny Oakley, John Feldman, Bob Lohse and Mike Castleberry were the pickers. The event was sponsored by the SWSGA and Albuquerque MUSIC-GO-ROUND. It was a beautiful day in the New Mexico Mountains for a steel guitar jam. Enjoy the pics.

It was good to see my old Buddy Johnny O. still seated behind his steel. Had a lot of good nights on stage with Johnny, a few years back.
Sorry I couldn't be there.

Denise and I have gone to the last 3 or 4 and have always enjoyed our time in Albuquerque. It had been a summer get away for us.

Really sorry we had to miss it this year but Denise simply could not set in the car that long.

We mentioned to each other about how much we missed it.

By the way Denise did go back to work on Monday and was exhausted - yesterday (Tue) was better --- so things are looking up.

Mike, I had an awesome time as usual. I was glad that Johnny drove down from Farmington. Billy, Ray and Joe, sorry to miss you all this year, I look forward to seeing you all in Phoenix at the new place next January.
