All three are beautiful, but the 7 string Clinesmith is the coolest! _________________ "it's not in bad taste, if it's funny." - john waters |

The Clinesmith does the country and rock stuff perfectly. The tone is just there.
It's built like a tank. Easy to see the fret markers. ( aging eyes appreciate this)
The Maple/Bakelite is more versatile, due to the tone controls. It will roll off the treble for traditional island tone, but can really rock as well. I love this guitar, and am very fortunate to have it on long term loan until my Kumu, Geri Valdriz wants it back.
But...
when I'm just playing Hawaiian music, the A22 is always my first choice. For not having a tone control, it still has a nice mellow warmth with the right amp, and just takes me there. |
