I'll be working tonight, but I'd urge anyone who can to make it. Great players and a nice venue. You won't need earplugs either.

I attended last night's gig. These guys are great. Doug has found a guitarist and bassist who play as well as he does.

As many of us know, Doug plays the piano, and guitarist Bruce Lofgrin could have asked him to play that instrument, but instead chose to have Doug play the steel. Kudos to Bruce for doing that.

These guys deserve to become superstars on the jazz circuit. Hugh Hefner, if you're reading this, you need to book them at the next Playboy Jazz festival.

The pedal steel guitar ISN'T a "real country instrument." It's an instrument, period. It is used a lot in country music. Is is also now being used in other genres as well.

Doug and this trio use it to play jazz. Why should that be a problem for anybody?
