I'm trying to decide what tuning to use on the Dobro tonite when I play it for 1 hour with the Brombies band from 8:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Stargazer 6501 Fallbrook West Hills California http://www.thebrombies.com/music/perform/home.html http://members.aol.com/intunenews/calendar/wc102004s.htm

Hi Ernie,
That gig was about 1 mile away from me, and I was gonna show up, but that dang Redsox vs Yankees game got a little nutty (watch the news) and dragged on past 9pm. hope it went well.

I'm sorry I missed this. How did it go EB? What tuning did you go with? You used your 8-string bad-boy, right?

What about (high to low) ECAGECAF? It's just the inside 8 strings of the standard C6 neck on a D10, but it seems like that would be nice to have on an 8-string.

Gig went pretty well considering how wet I got swimming from the parking lot to the restaurant. I played my lick thru all the vocals and everybody else's solos. Instead of my usual
A C# E G A C E D , I tried
G C E G A C E D
and it was fun to have a big chord to strum but I miss that tritone.
