Hi Paul, thanks for the heads up. BTW, I stumbled on this thread from Jan 15th 2011 where it's mentioned that you and Gary Carter played "Bud's Bounce" on the Marty Stuart show. Well, it's gonna be aired again on July 16th 2011 and I know a lot of Forum members will be tunin in. Here's another link to some great photos from that show. Click Here. Thanks for the kind words Andy and Dave!! The staff and especially the David Letterman band really treated us great!! At the end of the show Sid McGuiness (guitar for CBS Orchestra) came up to me and said "Dave REALLY liked that". From my perspective, he seemed to enjoy our performance too, but it was great hearing that from a source that has seen many acts come across that stage, and seen Dave's reaction. Sid also played steel guitar for Peter Gabriel back in the late 70's as well as steel on Robert Fripp's album "Exposure". He has a Sho-Bud on the bandstand at Letterman too.

was the guitar player messing up marty's hair with his hat on purpose? looked as if marty was getting irritated at first. great show, though!

I couldn't stay awake to watch it last night, but I caught it over on the CBS website just now.

Looks like the "No Hat Act" is a thing of the past with Kenny Vaughan. What a picker. What a band, Paul. Harry Stinson on drums and smokin' twin teles there. Looks like you were having fun too.

I'm with Jerry. Letterman's inane chatter and boring guests put me out before Marty's spot. I will catch the show on the internet today where I can eliminate the (unnecessary) parts...

FWIW, I wasn't knocking Dave's show. I just literally couldn't stay awake. Got a taste of the summer crud and the night time cold meds knocked me out.

The Letterman show regularly has some interesting music, with steel guitar and otherwise.

Kenny is a blast...we played hundreds of gigs together here in Denver in the '80's and '90's before he moved to Nashville...he's a very versatile player--he pioneered the early punk scene in Colorado in the '70's and also studied with the legendary Johnny Smith on jazz guitar...miss having him around here for sure...

I liked Cousin Kenny's work with Kim Richey too.

I met him when he worked with Sweethearts Of The Rodeo.

This prooves that eighties' music wasn't bad at all!
I also like Wire Train, Plimsouls, so many more.
