I have a July 1975 vintage MSA Classic single 12 listed for sale. It's lacquered curly maple and in excellent shape, five knee levers, six foot pedals, & SuperSustain Pick Up.
I'm asking $1300.00 for it and have gotten nothing but low ball offers.....I think it's priced right but would accept some opinions on it.
Look at it in the for sale section for Steels.
Thanks

MSA Value
Been playing banjo for about 5 years, a newbee at the 6 string lap steel. I'm never going to be as good as I want to be at either, just keep plugging away.

sounds fair to me. you might let someone talk you down a little if you need money badly, but....that's up to you.
i got talked down to $600 on an old d10 sho-bud i had many years ago..always regretted it...it seems things are always expensive when you want to buy, and worthless when you want to sell. you've got a good steel to offer..hang in there. everybody's pinching pennies lately, except a few filthy rich forum members.

This place has gotten ludicrous.Used to be that the members here would pay a fair buck for a nice piece. Now all you get are insulting lowball offers... I have had better luck selling on Craigslist than here on the forum.
I often offer to trade as I know people are low on cash. Instead of good usable gear I am offered crap like old PC's and softwear programs that no one has any use for...
It also depends on what you are selling.. If you have a Bud or Emmons in great shape, you will get your price... 70's MSA?... Better off on ebay these days...
