What do I need ? Pedal board to PC...what in between ?

I have PC laptop w/ BIAB and Real Band and want to try to use RB to add my lap steel tracks to BIAB tracks. What will I need to get from my amp out (or mic'd) into my laptop ? ... Looking at USB 3.0 devices .. Don't want to spend mega-bucks...a few hundred tops.

Recommendations (with URL's to purchase) appreciated !

A preamp that uses Firewire or USB...there are plenty of +/- $99 tube preamps that do this. Musicians Friend, search tube preamps.. ART, Bluetube etc... they will give you nice results
