Post by karl lohninger »

Great sounding and well cared for instrument. 8 foot pedals + 5 knee levers. $ 1550.00 + shipping or pick-up in Los Angeles.

I can be reached on my cell at 310-689-8255 and via email at karlATirisartistDOTcom. (replace AT and DOT respectively). I'll be happy to answer any question.

According to my research I'm the 2nd owner. I bought the guitar, talk about time flying.....18 years ago in Santa Fe, NM.

Thanks, and yes, the guitar is a beauty!

I do not know Charlie Sheen really, I've met him once on a set when he was coming by. The business, well, it goes up it goes down it goes up and so on...like any melody ;-)

Is this an all-pull guitar or a pull-release? (Most Marlens I have seen are pull-release I think)

Is it fairly easy to change the copedant on this guitar?

John, I don't know! I'm too un-educated to know the difference ;-(
One interested person writing me thought it looks like an 'all-pull'....looking at the photos. Would a close-up the underside help? Tell me, I'll do. thanks, Karl

Changing the copedant is easy.

John,
This Marlin is all pull, as easy as any all pull to reconfigure. I have this changer in my guitar, easy to change, stays in tune really good.

I might be interested; the RKL & RKR are the opposite of how I have mine. Anybody know how difficult it would be to change them? Thanks in advance for any info.

Hi Michael,
I hope somebody more technical inclined can chime in here. Just to make sure you want RKR to raise a half tone and RKL to lower a full tone, correct..?

Actually looking to have RKR raise 1/2 and RKL lower 1/2. Basically looking for the standard E raise and lower on the right knee, raise to the right, lower to the left.

I have an all pull Marlen too. Swapping the right knee E's on this guitar wouldn't take more than five minutes.

There's quite a few interested in my guitar. Who's gonna be the first to commit? It's always nerve wracking to see a baby go, really ...!

Marlen U-12

Post by Dave Yustin »

My wife Suzy just gave me a Father's Day card with a picture of this guitar in it. Come to find out she saw me looking at it and called Karl! What a great surprize! A great wife and a Marlen U-12, can't get much better than that. Thanks for helping Suzy out Karl.
