Couldn't see the steel player on the Nationwide stage too well, but I saw Jay Jackson and his Sho-Bud playin' onstage with Jason Aldean.

Jay was up in the mix & sounded good.
Don't know who the staff steel player was. I know Rob Hajacas was staff fiddle player. |

Bill-
That was Kevin Post playing steel and guitar in the live house band. He sounded great as usual. He plays full time with Blake Shelton.

I am sure the question was understood. But just by raising a question about the show it opened up a sore spot re the quality of the show. We shouldn't be surprised at the antics of the host or the Pres. After all, what else could you expect from a bunch of old rockers who are clueless as to what real country music is?
It takes the right tools to do the job and it takes the right personnel to get the job done. I am confident that there are still plenty of honest-to-goodness country stars available to host a county music show. This awards show was an insult to the fans. Could it be that our hero Mr Rhodes might have been right? |

The hosts[use that term lightly] on these so-called country shows makes about as much sense as having ET or Roy Acuff hosting a Heavy Metal awards show or maybe a gangster rap show. This music [NOISE]business has just gone to hell,DON'T CARE ANYBODY MAY SAY :!:YOU BETCHA,DYK?BC. _________________ Hard headed, opinionated old geezer. BAMA CHARLIE. GOD BLESS AMERICA. Charles,
I couldn't agree with you more. I could not finish watching till the end of the show.
If there is anything I have learned on the Forum it is the example set by b0b and the power of the "button".
Anything you don't like, shut it off. |

I concur totally Charlie, hence, I never even bothered to watch any of it. It isn't cause I'm not conducive to new music...(exc rap-crap), I could tell from the pre adverts it was gonna suck...Stormy |

At least Storm had enough sense not to turn it

I made it through 45 minutes of it. Kept hopeing for some country. During what I saw, I had a reality check that I am not young anymore. It was all eye candy for the young. I did turn back to it when someone with a cowboy hat on was doing something called country rap. I couldn't get to the remote fast enough. I guess country is in the archives now. It won't be watched again from this house.

Not so fast yall.I know what ur saying, but as of lately I been seeing kids playing old country on their radios.Every one can reconize crapp when they hear it.I think country is making a come back.I was amazed, we were fishing and some kids drove up with some old Conway turned up.Of course I had to talk to them, seemed they were as fed up with it as we are. _________________ Gibson Les Paul
