Ron Rogers and the Wailing Wind will be appearing at the Rose Festical CityFair RoZone Stage this Friday evening June 3 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm

Some of you may know Ron from his years playing in Austin or at Island Records or A&M studios in LA. His songwriting is better than ever, as are his guitar and voice. We're having a ball, hope some of you from the hood can make it out to join us!

• Also somehow we received positive press from the Willamette Week:

"[Steel this album] "Man, I'm a sucker for twang, and Dave Grafe, steel-guitar player for local singer-songwriter Ron Rogers, knows how to make that thang sang with twang. Rogers ain't bad, either: The opening number off his new disc, Country & Eastern (I tore the package open in hopes of some Bollywood twist, but I'll take what I got instead) combines Tom Waits' lyrical blaspheming with Neil Young's aching, stretched-out vocal lines. You can tell Ron Rogers has been around, despite the fact he's something less than a household name around Portland. "
