IMO, steel guitar seems to be growing......not only in numbers but genres and morphing into sub genres.....a lot of great music on steel seems to be out there....we just have to find it.....

Pura's good. She lives and mostly plays in Europe though she's native American. She hangs out on the corner of Joplin and Raitt.

She is awesome. An interesting interview with her commentary about musical influences is to be found at:

A great talent that deserves more attention.

Saw her play at bluesfest -Byron bay-a few years ago.She was part of "the Music Maker Foundation" act and played a Weisenborn style guitar- very tasteful-regards Dave in south australia

Had to BUMP this thread again as her beautiful voice and weissenborn simplicity drives the songs so beautifully.

The Pura Fé Trio live album was and still is one ofmy favourite songwriting albums.
