From the lack of posts on the forum I guess everyone went to the convention. Amazing to see 5-8 posts on a topic on the 4th.

Also no pictures this year, bumer.

Here is hoping that Wayne Franco has a PP he bought at the convention.

I'm home, no ISGC for me, due to other commitments.

I already have my Dallas reservations.

I didn't go because my wife doesn't give a **** about the steel guitar and wasn't about to turn me loose in St Louis by myself.
[This message was edited by Billy Henderson on 05 September 2004 at 08:10 AM.]

Hey Billy, I think that's one of the best I've heard in a long time.

I have not been since 1991. Lack of funds here as well. It just costs too much to support a family these days, however I do make some of the Texas Show. I have tried to listen in but the buffering takes too much time and keeps going on and off. I am sure everyone is having a great time and they should be.

I was going until a guy called "Francis" decided to pay us a visit. We can't move my 94 year Dad who is ill so we are riding it out. And it's a wild ride.

Billy Henderson,
How expensive would it be to just turn that wife loose permanently? Image
[This message was edited by Kip Kelly on 05 September 2004 at 04:04 PM.]

Well divorce would be most expensive and the second option. Image

My friend Terry Wilson went through the same thing and wrote a song about it. It goes in part . . .

I just lost everything a man can lose
my wife my home and almost every dime Image

Janice - You may be "down south" in Austin, but you're still a 5 hour drive north of me!

Texas is a big ol' state!

Billy,
I had to work so I could not go, but my wife would be glad to get rid of me for a few days.

Have you'll had your show yet?

Mike

I just rolled back in home a few hours ago. We didn't stay for the Sunday wind-up, but it was a great show Friday and Saturday, and I'm sure my leaving didn't change anything. I don't think anyone went home disappointed. Attendance might have been slightly down, possibly due to weather and a couple of other factors, but the room was nearly packed several times through the weekend. Wouldn't take a forty dollar mule for the experience!

Mike Hoover: No show yet I have tried and tried but no takers in AR. They are planning one in LA for November but I understand it is for Lousiana folks only.

Sorry to have missed St. Louis myself, but I managed to break my own record, and joined and rehearsed with two new bands in one day today... so it was worth staying home!
