Hey Folks:
This is great opportunity to see Sarah Jory in this area. Sarah is a fantastic entertainer and you need to make you plans now to go to this show. I promise you "you will not be sorry" I had the opportunity to see, meet and listen to Sarah Jory live in St.Louis last year and she just overwhelmed me with her talent. Not only is she talented, She is a beautiful lady. To have Talent and Great Looks goes a long way to success. If you didn't know it, Sarah Jory played the St. Louis show when she was a teenager. She will play many instruments plus sing, She has it all and if you really want to see Sarah Jory and can't make it to St. Louis this year you need to be at the Wilson Convention Center on Tuesday evening Aug 31st. I hope to see you all there. Everyone that loves Steelguitar, electric guitar, singing and beauty need to support Bowie's Efforts to bring this great entertainer to this area. As you can tell we are the only one that will have a show by her other than the St.Louis Show.

Give Bowie a Call and get your Advanced tickets and save $2

She is a fantastic player!

Up until last year, I had only heard one of her earlier albums and while it was very very good, it did'nt really grab me.

This past March at the Texas Jamboree, I bought a video of Joe Wright playing at the Austrailian Convention in 2002. I did'nt realize until I really looked at the cover that it also included Sara's performance there. As usual, I was blown away by Joe's work, but then when I got into the Sara part of the tape I was totally stunned!! Extremely versatile and -- like Joe -- her whole being just seem to be part of the instrument. Silky smooth on the slow ballad type stuff and really rockin' on the upbeat stuff. She closes with Orange Blossom Special and gets progressively faster on each verse until her fingers are just a blur and it sounds great!!

And guys, the fact that she is extremely nice to look at don't hurt either!!

Thanks for everyones's support! Tickets are selling good, and getting a lot of comments and excitement. The Wilson Daily Times will be doing a feature story on Sarah this coming Thurday, and that should ever boost the show exposure even more!

I heard the band backing her up last night and they sound great!! The preshow will have Clyde Mattocks on steel, Larry Villa on guitar, Bill Lamm on bass and vocals, Jay Street on keyboards, and Ken Dawson on drums. This is a great group to hear, plus to have back Sarah...

Hearing the preshow would be worth the price!!! Mark it on your calendar - Tuesday, August 31, Bill Ellis Convention Center, Wilson, NC - doors open at 6:15 for advance ticket holders; 6:30 for general admission at door..

It looks like a great turn out so far, but keep talking it up! The convention center will hold 1000 people, so we will have seats if you decide to come at the last minute. Thus far, it looks like quite a success. Hard to believe it is only one week off!! Sarah has some great steel standards on the show, plus some you have never heard on a steel show; also, she will be doing some of her hits from Europe(vocals). So, it is steel guitar plus!! You can bring non-steeler friends and they will enjoy the show.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there. We will be driving up from Danville Va after getting off of work.

You don't want to miss this show if you are within 200 mile radius of Wilson NC. Sarah Jory is a real entertainer and a real good looking one at that.

Regards
Ken

Ken, we look forward to having you; have been getting calls left and right, from Pa., West. Va., Va., all over NC and Sc..so looks like it will be something we have never seen around here before - looks easily like a crowd of 300-400 to see a steel player (primarily), and singer/entertainer/performer...But definitely a lot of steel...Rocky Mount - 25 miles away already has 150 confirmed (with tickets)!! If this goes as it looks it will, I will be one happy steeler promoter. Lots of local support!!

Sarah Jory, stopped the show in St.Louis last year, from what I heard.

I heard her on the radio. She is absolutely fabulous.

If I could make it, I would be there to see her only USA show outside of St.Louis.

Every steel player from Tenn. to New York should be there and see this wonderful Steel Player and entertainer.....al

We are haveing a good response to this show. I personally know of a bus load coming in from Tiedewater Va. As mentioned above, this is probably her only appearance in the US other than the ISGC. Tickets are still available at the door, but be there early. Show starts at 7pm. Doors open at 6:15pm.

The convention hall is set up and looks great for Sarah's show tomorrow night. The turn out is looking super. Thank you for your help and support! Sarah comes in today from England at 4:15 (into Raleigh-Durham) and will be rehearsing with the band tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow morning she will be interviewed on two Rocky Mount NC Stations; at 8 a.m..on 99.7 and at 8:30 at 98.5; if you are in the area give them a listen.
