Can someone tell me what tuning is used on the lap steel for this tune by the Judd's. I have been asked to do some tracks for a gal doing a CD project. Mostly standard but need a little lap on this puppy. Sounded like a G dobro tuning to me but wasn't sure.

Sounds like you could get that sound easier from open D or open E tuning instead of open G, although it could certainly be done from open G.

Brad: Thanks for the reply. I screwed up though. The track she wants lap on is "Give a Little Love" by the Judds. I am old, what can I say. If you wouldn't mind give that one a listen and tell me what you think.
