What are the guitars played on shows such as Porter Wagoner and others of the early sixties era.
Thanks in advance;

From some of the shows that I have seen, Porter played a Fender and Martin. The Wilburn Bros. both played Gibson J-200's. A lot of the stars played Martin's of one form or another. Bill Anderson played a Fender. The syle of these Fenders are being remade, with a standard Fender headstock, but I don't care for some of the colors.
Hope this helps. If I am wrong, please correct me. I won't be offended.

Porter & Dolly played Grammer guitars on some of those shows and I think Buck Trent played a Mosrite electric.

Buck also played a Micro-Fret guitar.

Some Micro-Frets guitars were fine instruments, and Luther and Carl Perkins (no relation) were often seen with Huntingtons when backing Johnny Cash, plus Mark Farner used a Signature with Grand Funk, but Porter kept unplugging it...
