I have a 82 Emmons L, the half stop is working OK but when I engage RKR to the half stop position the first string raises a little with it. Any help would be appreciated. _________________ 78 Emmons PP,Great tone.82 Emmons SKH #56 |

If nothing is fouling mechanically, it might be cabinet raise. |

Did that guitar come from Emmons with that 1/2 stop?
I have put their 1/2 stop on several different guitars and I don't recall it looking like that.
You say it works ok, but I have an idea that something is rubbing together if you are having problems with a 1st string rise. |

Erv Im pretty sure it an older Emmons Half stop. This is a 82 SKH. Both Bell cranks are on the same cross rod and when I engage the half step lower the 1st string bell crank moves just enought to raise it a little. Would it help to change the rod to a differant hole in the bell crank or even the changer? Thanks _________________ 78 Emmons PP,Great tone.82 Emmons SKH #56 |

Billy,
I would work that knee lever and watch the action real close. I have an idea that something is catching. Maybe a allen screw collar on a spring or something similiar. |
