Does anyone know of any Android apps for steel guitar or has anyone thought of making any?

I don't know of any steel guitar specific apps for Android phones. I know the Peterson tuner is available for iPhone. I don't know if it's available for Android. Apart from this one, how would an app be steel guitar specific?

Apps I have on my HTC Desire include a tuner (g-strings), metronome and iRealBook. There is a demo app I downloaded which is like band-in-a-box. I may upgrade to the full version of that.

Hey Paul, nice to 'see' you here! Smile

What's the name of the BIAB-like program? I'd like to check that out.

Thanks and hope to see you in October,

Best,
Jim

I have tried two different tuning Apps on my android phone. Gstrings and cleartune. Cleartune worked much better, it had a faster response. Gstrings tended to get hung up and not respond to tone changes. I would recommend the cleartune app.
