Question for Mr. Reece Anderson

I have an MSA "The Universal" S12,green, As per your info ser# 1C6910, mfg date 1982.There is a bad chip on the back edge of the neck/fretboard area. My Question is the finish,Lacquer, or ??? It is my stay at home practice guitar but, I need to repair it. I am familiar with working with finish repair, just need to know for sure the finish material.
