15' speaker

I bought a session 400 amp the other day and it has a 15" speaker 8ohm in it. The speaker has a sticker with JAY6140 on it. Is this made by Eminence? I unhooked it and connected a BW 1501-4. The amp came alive. Any info be appreciated.

that amp should have a 4 ohm speaker. the black widow is. the other one was 8 ohm so probably not as full or loud sounding.

Yes Chris the 8 ohm spkr didnt cut it. I bought the amp with it already installed. I hooked up bw and man did it change. The amp seems to be fine though.
