Hello all,
Can anyone give me advice on making a nice pad for my
"The Professional" ShoBud? The pad that is on there is a corney looking Tuck and roll thing, in white that's just too weird . It also has pipeing around the top that's uncomfortable. Looks like it should have those clear furniture covers your old aunt used to have in her living room. I'm a luthier but have never done any upholstering. How do I get those nice corners and maybe pipeing along the bottum edge? What kind of material shound I use? All advice appreciated. Ron, I recommend you go to a furniture re-upholsterer.
They do a great job as they have the experience. They also have a variety of materials for you to choose from. If you want nice angled corners, ask them to use the closed-cell foam. For my new builds, I go see my local guy just down the street. $30 does it. Worth every penny instead of me fiddlin around. _________________ BenRom Pedal Steel Guitars
